Maria and Joe about mid-way up the mountain behind our house, with part of Saltillo below.
We ate at Tacos al Pastor downtown, and this guy serenaded us with a Spanish version of "Let it Be," although he did say those 3 words in English.

I can only imagine how much you enjoyed having Maria and her boyfriend there with you. That's wonderful!
How fun!!!!
You missionaries love to gross us out don't you? :-D
How fun! I'm so glad that they got to come home for Spring break! I well remember a Spring break that I went home from GBS (I think it was my only Spring break to come home)...the main reason I remember it...was because my sweetheart ask me to share his life with him on that break. =) I'm forever glad that I said YES!!!!! =D
If they are still there, I hope that y'all are having a GREAT time!
That's some pig head! :) My grandpa has often shared stories about how his Mom cooked with those... can't say I feel deprived. :)
Looks like you had a great time!
Um...I'm trying to think of what the pig skins are used for. Maybe I'm proving my stupidity right here and now, but seeing the porker's dismantled body parts just really grossed me out for some reason. LOL! Please fill me in on the skins!
Tamra - I think they deep fry them, they turn out looking like pork rinds, but very large, about a 10-inch square. Maybe you can go see this market while you're here.
Now I'm hungry! Probably not from the pic of the piggy parts, but more likely from the memories of Tacos al Pastor. Yummy!
I'm with Joe.... would love to have some Tacos al Pastor.... but the pig parts? ...... not so much!!
