An Afternoon with Friends

These lovely ladies (Ofelia, her sister, Chelo, and her daughter, Tere) invited us to eat with them at Chelo's home.

Here is Kent on their back patio.

Here we are on the front porch, minus Steve, our photographer.

Beth, Melodie, Marc and Jordan Sankey, and our son, Kent, eating carne guisada (beef in a tomato-based sauce - my favorite Mexican food), yellow squash, corn tortillas, and nopales (cactus). It was all so very good! I am going to miss this food while we are in the US for the next few months.

Their home is about one-third of the way up the mountain. There are not too many homes higher than this.

The view from their front patio overlooks the city of Saltillo.

Visit to Santa Apolonia

A few Sundays ago we were able to visit the Bible Methodist Church in the little town of Santa Apolonia. This church is located about an hour south of the Texas border.
On the left is Pastor Jose Cruz's family and on the right is former pastor Juan Zandate.

Friends in Texas

We recently spent a few days in Texas and were able to visit with some of our friends there. In this picture are Michael and Crystal Mason, Fain and Regina Morley and Juan and Margaret Velazquez. Good food, fun and friends!

Visitors from Indiana

We were so glad to have our friends, Troy and Marla Kirkman, come and visit us in Saltillo. Here is a picture of them in the mountains between Saltillo and San Rafael.

We had a great time and hope they can come back soon!

Final Pictures of Steve's MidWest Trip

Steve had a wonderful time with Tim and Holly Arender, pastors at Happy Corner, Oklahoma. He was so impressed with this sweet, young family.

This is the Bible Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, pastored by Steve's nephew, Darrell Lee (and Lizzie) Stetler.

Here is a picture of the OKC crowd at their pitch-in dinner. Steve really enjoyed being with this warm and generous congregation.

Sunday night, Steve was able to preach in Spanish, to the group at the Hispanic American Mission in OKC, pastored by our long-time friends, the Cokers. The crowd was very receptive and gave generously to the work in Mexico.

We are now preparing for a full summer and fall of deputation services in the US. Please keep us in your prayers. If you would like to schedule a service, please contact us at sstetler1@msn.com

People and Places in Kansas

This is the church in Altamont, Kansas which Steve visited last Sunday.

Steve stayed several nights with the Schencks in their beautiful home. We so appreciate their hospitality.

We are thankful for the generosity of John Copeland, who is allowing Steve to use this vehicle while he travels representing the work of Bible Methodist Missions in Mexico.
