Miscellaneous

For all (HA-HA) of you who have been waiting with bated breath, wondering, "What will they name their dog?" We have made a decision. His name is "Jefe." It is a Spanish word that means "Boss" and is pronounced "he (e as in egg) - f e (e as in egg)," the accent is on the first syllable.

Kent was in our backyard doing schoolwork and Jefe decided to take a nap.

Steve put Jefe in his cowboy boot. :-)

Here is a picture of Saddleback Mountain in the nearby city of Monterrey.

This is the plaza in Saltillo, complete with palm trees, brightly-colored flowers, historic buildings, statues, and elderly gentlemen reminiscing.

I know I'm a little weird, but really, every time I saw your blog in bold on my reader I wondered if your new post would contain the dear puppy's name!! 8-)

Great name - love it.

"Jefe" is a good name choice, partly because we all know how true it is that the new "baby" in the family really is a jefe for quite awhile!

I noticed your phonics teaching skills are still kicking in with the pronunciation of Jefe. Smile.
