Campmeeting in the Country (Part 2)

Anna Correa, Maria, Carla, Melisa and Daisy Correa.

Steve rode a horse while we were out in San Ildefonso for camp.

So did I ... church clothes and all! :-)

The altitude here is over 9000 feet.

I'm not sure what it means when you use an American flag for your outhouse door?! :-)

A home by the campground.

Desert plants.

Looking down into the valley.

Beautiful!

This plant looks like a giant stalk of asparagus.

This is the kids program. The boy in the back row (in the blue shirt, with a white stripe) drove my kids around in a pickup truck. He didn't look like he was even 12 years old.

Our vehicle looking a little worse for the wear.

Dolores Hernandez and Daniel Pena. These guys are great!

Maria, Kent, me, Sylvia Hernandez and Daniel's wife and daughter.

After the night service we drove back home on those treacherous roads in the dark. In a way it wasn't as scary, because I couldn't see. Ignorance is bliss, and all that! :-)

We brought our friend, Steve Geise, who was a camp evangelist, back to Saltillo. We arrived a little after midnight and took him straight to the bus station so he could begin a 40-hour trip back to his home in Guatemala City. Bless his heart!

Wow! Thanks for posting these pictures - they took me on a trip right down memory lane! I have lots & lots of memories of growing up in & around San Ildefonso. I can't believe how everything looks exactly the same as I remember it.

WEll, I thought it brought back many memories to me, even though the terrain isn't exactly like Guate., Mexico seems more desert"ish", but the looks of the village is very much like Guate. BTW, is there ever a rainy, cloudy day in Mexico? I don't think I've ever seen a picture with hardly a cloud in the sky.
