Slip Slidin' Away

One day, while all the Sankey's were in Mexico for Christmas, we went to a park here in Saltillo. It has large concrete slides, which we had fun playing on. I wish I could say it was just the kids, but some of us just couldn't resist. :-)

Here are Mom, Vonnie and Steve watching the kids.

Melodie, Vonnie and I, who should have known better, also did a bit of sliding.

This picture is of Marc, going headfirst, with most of the kids trailing behind.

It was pure craziness! :-)

Looks like fun!

I think it's neat that y'all had a Christmas wedding there, for I just posted pics of a Christmas wedding we had here. It's fun to see all the different cultural things that each country does at special times like weddings, birthdays, Christmas, etc.

Have a great day in Jesus!

Looks fun! You girls might have been crazy, but I'd have been crazy right along with you! :)

It was so much fun. I will say, though, that Vonnie was the only one of us "girls" that was brave enough to go down headfirst! Tamra, maybe you'll get your chance to slide in April...can't wait!

Wow - these pictures bring back so many memories! We used to go to this park a lot when we lived in Saltillo. We would always take anyone from the States who came to visit & the adults usually always joined in & had a blast! Several times, we even took along wax paper to make the ride even better - you ought to try it next time! ;-)

Love your blog and postings...one of the reasons (not the main one but a valid one) that I didn't get on the concrete slides!!! Didn't want my picture seen all over the world..."an old lady wipes out on slide in foreign country, while family looks on hysterically!" Hey, it was fun anyway...love you much, Mom

I remember helping one of my little ones off the end of one of these slides, only to have another one come sailing down right through my legs! Yes, it was hilarious and embarrassing...;
Like Shari said, many memories were made at that park.
