Saying Goodbye to Texas

In June of 2007, we made the move from Bedford, Indiana (where we had lived for 18 years) to Edinburg, Texas. We moved into an apartment on the campus of Rio Grande Bible Institute, where Steve enrolled in the Spanish Language Training Course. Now we are 3 weeks from moving from here to Saltillo, Mexico. We are excited to begin this new ministry, but sorry to leave this little place which we've called home.

Maria's room. She didn't use it much, since she's in Bible College.

Kent's room. It's a fun place!

Our dining room.

Our living room.

The carport.

I think it is always hard to leave a place you've called home, no matter how long you've been there. I still miss our last house. Can't wait to see what is in store for you in Mexico!!

Hope that the transition goes very smoothly for you all! I have a friend whose husband is in the ministry...she never minds moving because she gets to "start over" on her new house...a new look, a different perspective!(Everything is freshly organized, etc. She DOES get attached to the people though!) I think that "change" is always a little hard for me, I must admit! Hope that ya'll truly like your new place! God bless!

Once you get settled in your new place we really must organize a "Salem" work team to come do "grunt" work for you. We really are very good at "grunt" work. :)

I hope that your move is uneventful. I am sure this will be a bittersweet move for you. You will be where you ultimatly want to be, but moving isn't easy. Especially when it is to another country! lol! I am looking forward to "inside" pictures of your new house in Saltillo. Go pack!!! lv...

I wish there was some way for me to hear Steve speak in Spanish! Congratulations on going to school and learning another language! Also...haven't heard his "Donald Duck" voice for years! haha
Beth, so glad I was able to take Spanish off of you before we moved! I am able to "brag on how good I did!" It would have been tougher if I would have had to do it at my other school because they didn't have a class for it...
