About 7 months ago, Maria went to college. We certainly miss her being involved in our daily activities. She is with GBS on choir tour this week, and having the time of her life!
Now, Kent is gone. He left last Wednesday and won't be back till Tuesday. The Ada Chapel Bible Methodist Youth raised funds for him to go to Pell City, Alabama for Youth Round-Up. It is a great opportunity for him to reconnect with his friends, and we are happy he was able to go.
But, that leaves Steve and I ... Home Alone! I think this is a little taste of what our life is going to be like in a couple years. Kinda' sad!

WHAT will you do with the time?? HA! :-) Great pic of you guys.
Guess what I found on ebay a few weeks ago? A copy of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"!! Its the same version.. I've been singing along to all of it for days now and my kids just roll their eyes,, they think I'm nuts. :-)
LOVE that picture of ya'll...You look great! Can't even try to imagine that phase of my life yet...I KNOW that I will be sad too! I'm thinking that you should just have a nice, "romantic" week... I guess this could be your second honeymoon phase! ha! "Just trickin'" as my little Cade says. Oh well...have fun and treasure each moment! Life just keeps zooming by!
How kind of Ada Chapel! I'm sure Kent will have a great time. Hang in there for the next few days! :)
I am trying to prepare myself early for that "kinda' sad" time I know will come all too soon.
I'm with ya, sister!
Such a nice picture.
What a nice picture of both! Plum purdy...
I'm sure it's a strange feeling...
Hang in there! They say the "Golden Years" are great! Ha!
I am sure Kent will have a blast! And y'all can have that romantic weekend. ;-)
I'm sure the 3 nephews you're keeping for a couple hours tonight will help you with the Home Alone feeling...haha..
I love this picture of you and Steve, too.
Cute picture of y'all! Wow! I'm sure that it is different having no children around. I cannot imagine the time when our kids leave...but I guess we'll have to look at those years like Phillip and I's dating years all over again, but we will be SAD missing our kids. =)
Awwwww, that has got to be so hard. I won't have empty nest until I'm 54.... now THAT is SAD!!! No joke, the twins won't be 18 until then.
Enjoy your time together! That picture is beautiful of you guys.
You know what's scary -- I remember when you were little!! Back to the empty nest ... I dreaded it, grieved it, lived through it (and wondered if I ever could)... and then, we celebrated it! Someday, you probably will, too...
