Today is Maria's 19th Birthday. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama and we brought her home on Christmas Day. Since it is hard to celebrate amid the busy activities of Sunday, we did most of her birthday stuff yesterday. We took her to La Mexicana for lunch and then gave her gifts at home. Today she received lots of text messages, phone calls, and e-mails from family and friends. She's a great girl, and we're so glad to have her home for her birthday and Christmas.

I hope that Maria had a WONDERFUL birthday! I know that she is loving being home after one semester at GBS. I well remember how I loved my first semester (and all of my semesters) at GBS, but I also loved the times I got to go home to be with my family for a break.
I was thinking of y'all as you didn't get to go "home" for Christmas, and your other family did...we can sympathize! All my Bryan family was together (that is 20 of them, 21 with my 100 year old Grandma) and I surely missed being there with them! Hope ya'll had a great day today. We had a nice quiet Christmas together today. After having a Christmas program and serving a meal in BOTH of our churches yesterday...we were GLAD to have a quiet day together today. =D
